The most common method in dry desulfurization is iron oxide desulfurization. By passing the feed gas through the desulfurizer bed at room temperature, the H₂S in the feed gas contacts the active iron oxide to generate iron sulfide and ferrous sulfide. When the sulfur content of the outlet gas exceeds the standard, the desulfurizer should be replaced with new ones

2Fe ·H₂O+6S 2O3 ·H₂O+6H₂S=2Fe2S3 ·H₂O +6H₂O

  • Low initial investment, no high cost needed
  • High desulfurization efficiency, reliable performance
  • Wide application, both for bulk and fine H₂S removal
  • Gas-solid reaction, no power, water and etc. consumption
  • Easy operation, no daily maintenance needed
  • Used product is not a hazardous waste, easy for disposal
  • No wastewater produced, no sewage treatment system needed
